Layered Glory, Teen Vogue Edition

Mary Kate Steinmiller, Associate Fashion Market Editor at Teen Vogue
This picture is from the lovely people at www.teenvogue.com. If this post is not allowed on THELOOKBOOK, simply off it goes!
I cannot say enough about the Teen Vogue team. The Editors at this stellar publication are stylish, kind, and create the best monthly fashion magazine (in my opinion). Above is Teen Vogue Associate Fashion Market Editor Mary Kate Steinmiller, who was a Teen Vogue intern for not 1, not 2, not 3, but FOUR years before landing the Associate Fashion Market Editor position at the mag!
Anways, on to her outfit... which I LOVE. I simply adore the clean white shirt under the pretty, ruched, divided blue, vested blouse. The silvery white poofy skirt is kind of PERFECT, and Mary-Kate's baubly necklace tops off this outfit beautifully.

FINALLY!

This picture is a courtesy of Getty Images, and Teen Vogue. If this picture is not allowed on THELOOKBOOK, off it goes!
Leave it to the lovely people at Teen Vogue to deliver. I have been searching for EONS to find a picture of of this look (which is one of my most favourite looks, ever). Above Selena Gomez is wearing an elegant black Marchesa dress. I love the sweet neckline, exquisite shoulder detail and length of this dress. The sophisticated black heels and polished hair-do complete this look marvelously!
What do you think of this look? I would love to know!

Meaningful Content

Hi guys and dolls!
The sparsity of my posts of late may have to do with meaningful content. On this blog I only wish to post pictures which I love and think are truly amazing. do not want to just post "whatever" for the sake of posting.

Leighton's Loveliness (Now)

I am not going to lie, I really disliked this look when I first saw the individual pieces all together. The mid-calf socks did not appeal to me, like, at all. While perusing the internet, I kept on coming back to this particular ensemble worn by Leighton, and I now really enjoy this look! Can you imagine that?! The first time I saw this look I did, however, LOVE the Louis Vuitton frock above. I love the pattern of the ruffles and on the bottom of this dress.
(Both photographs from http://www.people.com/. If they are not allowed posted, you all now the drill...).
Leightons outifit: amazing: [ a long cozy gray sweater with pockets brings this look back to Earth , sweet, simply DARLING little 3.1 Philip Lim mini (in its sheer glory, pardon the pun!) which polka dots add the right amount of sleekness to, and tough-chic Christian Louboutin booties which I think complete this styled perfection very well. Oh, how I love booties!
The belt ties this outfit together wonderfully.
Now, you must understand: when I first saw these two outfits, I did not really like the oufits. Then a certain something about the way the separate pieces in the outfit were put together (styled) kept drawing me back into sartorial bliss. I am sold.
As well as loving Leighton Meester's character Blair Waldorf's super styled (by Charlotte Russe stylist Eric Daman) outfits on the CW Network's hit show Gossip Girl, I super love Leighton's edgy/ Earthy ensembles in real life (Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton at the Met Ball AND the Teen Choice Awards, anyone?!) I do not Leighton Meester personally, but from her video interview at http://www.teenvogue.com/, and her spread in Teen Vogue, this Queen B seems like a sweet heart!
All in all, well belted!

Photography Adoration

I do not know who the model in this picture is, but I think that this picture is beautiful. I love the poofy skirt and strapless neckline of the dress pictured above.
Supermodel (and a Jill favourite) Christy Turlington-Burns photographed by world renowned fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier, in 1990.
Beautiful.
I love photography and enjoy taking pictures. When people look at pictures (and from the past) they are able to revisit the moment, and emotions which were captured during the time the photograph was taken. Fashion photography is one of my favourite kinds of photography, because fashion photographers capture beauty of God's creation in shooting models in fashion designer's clothing.
